Letter from the President:

Greeting in the name of Jesus!

Thank you for having an interest in what our Institute for Ministry Development (IMD) is doing among Native Americans.  IMD is a U.S. Missions operation and all of us at IMD are U.S. Missionaries dependent on personal contributors for our continued involvement.  IMD doesn’t pay salaries to anyone, including the President.

Our new IMD home/office headquarters is mostly complete, with just a bit of basement work remaining.  I hope I’ll be able to put my hammer down soon!  We have been occupying and using the new home/office, and are wonderfully blessed to have it.  We borrowed and owe about $50,000 on the building and could use much help in eliminating that debt! Please contribute to our debt reduction whatever you can!  

Judi and I run the office and do the promoting of courses (primarily Berean ministry courses) wherever asked.  Dr. John and Gay Davis teach courses within a drivable radius of Rapid City, and Edna Braley teaches for us in North Dakota.  That’s the extent of IMD missionary personnel.

One of my functions is to meet with people in Indian reservation churches and offer them opportunities for courses right in their own local church.  Those courses can be led by the pastor or anyone else in the church.  In addition, many students just take courses on their own and are not part of a class setting.

While we concentrate our efforts in the north central to northwest regions of the USA, we will go wherever asked.  Most recently that was to the southwest part of the country.  Wow, were people glad to have us there!  We now have about 10 new students on the Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico.  That will likely spread as more people there become aware of what’s happening. 

Because of the very low income of Native Americans, IMD offers Berean courses at about half-price of what they would normally cost.  But we still have to make up the difference.  That’s where we especially need your financial help.  Whenever you donate to IMD you are allowing us to continue with these subsidized course offerings.  We cannot do it without you!  Please send us the greatest amount you can afford to assist us in this!

Meanwhile, keep the faith.  Jesus is coming back!
